Why Spring Is A Perfect Time Of Year For Life Coaching for Teens!

We've been coaching Teens and Young Adults for many years now, and we have found time and again that there are a few times of the year that Life Coaching tends to make the biggest impact and get the best results for kids, and this is one of them.
There tends to be a bit of a lull during February through May for all of us. The holidays are behind us, the collective excitement of the New Year can begin wearing off for many, and we keep busy while awaiting the fun and chaos of summer to arrive. These late winter and early spring months are a continued season of hibernation, a time to focus inward and reflect on some deeper aspects of ourselves, our lives, and our futures, to prepare ourselves for the blossoming of summer, both outwardly and inwardly!
What our clients experience during these months while coaching with us and going through our Extraordinary Purpose Program are two extremely important things:
- First, they finish up this current school year strong, confident, and with a plan for what's coming up next for them. They have an opportunity, no matter where they are, to set and reach some meaningful goals and get massive clarity on a vision for the next year. Whether they are entering a new school year ahead, preparing to leave for college, take a gap year, or going in an entirely different direction than college. They will create a blueprint for carrying out their vison and learn to implement some incredible habits and rituals into their days and weeks that cultivate the support, motivation, discipline, and accountability they need in place.
- Second, our clients who join us in the late winter/early spring have the opportunity to cultivate a vision and plan for the summer ahead. Although breaks and holidays are a time to rest, regroup, and rejuvenate, we do a lot of coaching with kids helping them understand that breaks are not the time to get lazy, unmotivated, and overly distracted. Rather we teach our clients how to make the most of their summer by becoming intentional and creating a healthy balance of fun, friends, family, work, personal growth, and preparing for the season ahead.
In Summary:
It's amazing what we can do in just a few short months! And these, often dreary and long, months ahead are a perfect time for young adults to build their authentic confidence by learning more about themselves, what's truly important to them, and finding their intrinsic motivation by getting clarity on their futures, goals, self-care, relationships, and identity.
