Life Coaching for Parents of Teens & Young Adults
Reconnect With Yourself. Strengthen Your Relationship. Become Who You Want to Be.
Parenting a teen or young adult can leave you questioning everything.
When do I step in? When do I let go? How do I help without pushing them away?
At Extraordinary Purpose, our parent coaching helps moms and dads navigate stress, disconnection, communication, and boundaries while reconnecting with who they are and the life they want to create.
Because this chapter isn't only about who your child is becoming.
It's about who you're becoming, too.
✔ Feel Calmer, More Grounded & Confident
✔ Strengthen Connection With Your Teen or Young Adult
✔ Create Healthier Boundaries While Staying Close
✔ Rediscover Your Identity, Passions, Purpose & Dreams
If You Feel Like You're Losing Connection With Your Teen or Young Adult...
Maybe You’ve Been Feeling...
✔ Like you’re losing connection with your teen or young adult
✔ Exhausted from worrying and trying to help
✔ Stuck in the same arguments or patterns
✔ Unsure when to step in, step back, or let go
✔ Worried about their motivation, choices, or future
✔ Frustrated by screens, gaming, or social media
✔ Like somewhere along the way, you’ve lost yourself, too
And underneath it all is often one question:
“Am I actually helping anymore?”
When you love your child, it’s easy for their struggles to become your struggles and their future to become your worry.
And somewhere along the way, you can lose touch with yourself.
Your passions. Your relationships. Your dreams. Your purpose.
But your child isn't the only one still growing.
You are, too.
This chapter can be about strengthening your relationship with your child and becoming the parent and person you want to be.
More grounded. More confident. More connected. More you.
“Before Extraordinary Purpose, it felt like we were constantly walking on eggshells with our son. Every conversation seemed to end in tension or silence, and it honestly felt like we were losing connection with him. What surprised me most was realizing how much I needed this work too.
As I became calmer, more grounded, and more intentional, everything began to change. Today there's more communication, more trust, and more peace in our home. For the first time in a long time, it feels like we're truly connected again.”

Real Stories From Parents Who Felt Like They Were Losing Connection With Their Child... and Themselves
Parents who reconnected with themselves, rebuilt connection at home, and discovered what was possible with the right support..
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Before working with Erin and Chris, I felt overwhelmed all the time. I was constantly second-guessing myself, unsure when to step in, when to let go, and wondering if anything I was doing was actually helping.
Now I feel calmer, more confident, and far more grounded in how I show up as a parent. The tension in our home has shifted completely. Conversations feel easier, there’s more trust between us, and my daughter is more open, engaged, and connected than she’s been in years.
This experience didn’t just help our relationship. It helped me become the kind of parent I wanted to be.”
— Sarah T., Parent of a Young Adult
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Honestly, working with Erin and Chris changed the entire direction of our family.
We came in focused on helping our teens… but what surprised us most was how much we changed in the process.
We communicate differently now. We handle conflict differently. There’s more calm in our home, more connection, and way less walking on eggshells.
Our teens are opening up more, taking more ownership, and we finally feel like we have tools that actually help.
This wasn’t just support for our kids. It transformed us as parents too.”
— Mark R., Parent of Two Teens
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I didn’t realize how much of myself I had lost trying to hold everything together for everyone else. I was constantly stressed, emotionally exhausted, and consumed by what wasn’t working in our family.
Working with Erin and Chris helped me slow down, reconnect with myself again, and lead from a completely different place. I feel more grounded, more present, and more confident in where to put my energy instead of living in constant worry and reaction.
And that shift changed everything. Our home feels calmer, our relationships feel stronger, and for the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful about the future of our family.”
— Amanda K., Parent of Two Young Adults

Meet Erin Verdis & Chris Adang
Parents of Four. Trusted Parent Coaches Helping Families Nationwide.
We’re Erin and Chris, founders of Extraordinary Purpose, life coaches, and most importantly on this page, parents of four.
For more than 15 years, we’ve helped parents, teens, and young adults navigate anxiety and stress, family disconnection, low motivation, emotional overwhelm, changing relationships, and uncertainty about the future.
But some of our greatest lessons about parenting haven’t come from coaching.
They’ve come from raising our own kids.
We know what it’s like to lie awake worrying about one of your children. To have a conversation that doesn’t go the way you hoped. To question whether you’re doing too much, not enough, or somehow missing something.
We’ve had those moments in our own home.
And they’ve taught us that parenting teens and young adults isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about learning how to stay grounded, trust yourself, keep growing, and create the kind of relationship where your child knows you’re in their corner.
That belief has become the foundation of our approach to parent coaching:
Some of the most powerful changes in a family begin with the parent.
Erin Verdis
Erin works closely with moms, helping them strengthen self-trust, emotional resilience, identity, and purpose so they can feel more grounded in themselves and bring greater calm, confidence, and connection to their families.
Chris Adang
Chris works closely with dads, helping them reconnect with their strengths, values, identity, and purpose so they can lead themselves and their families with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
Together, we help parents focus less on trying to control their child’s path and more on what they can influence: who they are, how they show up, and the relationship they create with their child.
After years of coaching parents, teens, and young adults, and raising our own family, we’ve seen one truth again and again:
When parents grow, families grow.
Because one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is continuing to grow ourselves.
Book a discovery call and we’ll walk through what’s going on together.
